The Role: Passive Fire Assurance Manager
As a key technical specialist within the team, you will ensure that all works comply with the fire strategy, relevant legislation, and Building Regulations throughout construction. You’ll be the go-to expert on passive fire matters, providing guidance, resolving queries, and helping project teams achieve full compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting site visits, inspections, and audits—including off-site as required

Identifying non-compliance, promoting best practice, and driving a culture of fire safety awareness
*
Maintaining a robust evidence portfolio to demonstrate compliance
*
Supporting the project with fire-related queries, engineering judgements, and fire test arrangements where needed
This is a role where your expertise will directly influence the safety, quality, and long-term performance of a major UK project.
About You
You will bring strong technical fire safety expertise and significant experience from large construction environments.
Key requirements include:
Technical Fire Safety Expertise
*
Deep knowledge of structural, fabric (e.g., dry lining), façade, and MEP fire-safety interfaces
*
Extensive on-site experience on large-scale projects
*
Ability to lead fire assurance strategies from design to handover
*
Experience managing fire-stopping and builders' works packages
*
Competence in conducting audits and ensuring compliance with fire safety legislation
*
Ability to troubleshoot incidents and arrange bespoke fire testing
*
Familiarity with Regulation B, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, and the Building Safety Act
*
Comfortable working across all project phases
Leadership, Management & Communication
*
Collaborative leadership style with strong influencing skills
*
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
*
Highly organised, self-disciplined, and able to prioritise work independently
*
Confident in constructively challenging when required
