Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Passive Fire Protection Surveyor to join an established specialist contractor on a long-term freelance basis. The company delivers passive fire protection works across the social housing and healthcare sectors, working with local councils, housing associations and NHS clients. This is a full-time, ongoing position with no fixed end date, offering the opportunity to work indefinitely with the business. There is also the opportunity to earn additional income through Saturday overtime.
The Role
The successful candidate will carry out passive fire protection surveys across a range of social housing and healthcare properties throughout the Midlands. You will be responsible for accurately recording defects, taking photographs and producing clear survey reports to support subsequent remedial works.
You will be surveying and identifying defects across:
  * Firestopping
  * Compartmentation
  * Fire Doors
Candidate Requirements
  * Previous experience as a Firestopper / Passive Fire Operative
  * Practical understanding of firestopping and compartmentation
  * Experience working with or inspecting fire doors
  * Previous experience carrying out passive fire protection surveys
  * Strong understanding of passive fire protection installations and defects
  * Good written and reporting skills
  * CSCS card – essential
  * Full UK driving licence
  * Ability to travel between sites across the Midlands
  * Experience working on social housing and NHS projects would be highly advantageous
Package
  * £200 - £250 per day, depending on experience
  * Long-term freelance – no fixed end date
  * Full-time, ongoing work with the business
  * Vehicle provided
  * Fuel card provided
  * Parking and associated expenses covered
  * Saturday overtime available
  * Projects across the Midlands with occasional further travel
  * Immediate start available
