Are you passionate about supporting the emotional, social, and behavioural wellbeing of young people?
GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Lead to support students in a school based in Sheffield.
In this role of Pastoral Lead, you will play a crucial role in promoting pupil welfare, building strong relationships, and providing targeted support for students facing personal, emotional, or behavioural challenges. You will work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure every child feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.
Your Responsibilities as a Pastoral Lead:
Provide day-to-day pastoral care and emotional support for students.
Monitor pupil wellbeing, attendance, and behaviour, intervening where necessary.
Build trusted relationships with pupils, acting as a key point of contact.
Liaise with families, staff, and external professionals to implement appropriate support plans.
Promote positive behaviour and inclusion within the school community.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding procedures.
Requirements for Pastoral Lead:
Experience in a pastoral, behaviour, or student support role (school-based experience preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
