Pastoral Manager Location: Sheffield, S9 Salary: Up to £130 per day (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term; Full-time / Part-time Are you a compassionate and experienced professional with a passion for student wellbeing? GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Pastoral Manager to work in schools across Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who excels in promoting positive behaviour, supporting emotional development, and building trusted relationships with students and families. As a Pastoral Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the emotional, behavioural, and social needs of students are met. You’ll work closely with teaching staff, safeguarding leads, and parents to support student engagement, wellbeing, and success. Responsibilities of a Pastoral Manager: Oversee and manage the pastoral care and wellbeing of students across year groups. Monitor behaviour, attendance, and emotional welfare, providing early intervention and tailored support. Work with students on a 1:1 or small group basis to build confidence and emotional resilience. Liaise with external agencies, families, and internal teams to provide holistic support. Contribute to safeguarding procedures and behaviour policies. Foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing school environment. Pastoral Manager Requirements: Previous experience in a pastoral, behavioural, or student support role or as a Pastoral Manager in a school or similar setting. Qualifications in youth work, counselling, education, or related fields are desirable. Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to challenging situations.
