Job Title: Pastoral Support Worker

Are you passionate about supporting the wellbeing and personal development of young people? We are currently recruiting a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to join a supportive school community. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' emotional, social, and behavioural development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide pastoral support to students, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing
Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to address social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and improving engagement
Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies where appropriate
Monitor and track student progress, attendance, and behaviour
Contribute to the development and implementation of pastoral support plans
Support safeguarding and child protection procedures in line with school policiesThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly in a pastoral or support role
A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
The ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively
A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training can be provided)
