A beautifully restored hotel set on a 400-acre working farm in the Hampshire countryside is seeking a Pastry Chef to join its highly skilled and creative pastry team. Located just outside of London, the kitchen draws direct inspiration from its surroundings, sourcing much of its produce from an on-site bio dynamic market garden and farm. Chefs regularly tour the grounds to stay connected with the rhythms of the seasons and the ingredients they work with.
This is a unique opportunity for a passionate pastry chef who values simplicity, seasonality, and craftsmanship. From fragrant herbal ice creams to sourdough bread and fresh-baked breakfast pastries, the focus here is on quality, care, and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and execution of plated desserts, breads, cakes, and ice creams for the restaurant
Creation of fresh, handmade cakes for a paired-back, ingredient-focused afternoon tea
Development of simple yet thoughtful offerings for in-room dining
Consistent attention to quality, detail, and presentation in a fast-paced environment
Ability to adapt to a changing, seasonal menu and respond positively to feedback
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsSalary & Benefits:
Salary: £30,800 per annum
Service Charge (Tronc): Approx. £7,800 per annum (based on full-time hours)
