A well established Lancaster based company are looking to recruit a Payroll & Accounts Administrator. This role will report into the Financial Controller and will ensure ensure all HMRC deadlines are met and returns are completed as well as supporting the daily HR and administrative tasks across the business.
This is a busy and interesting role where no 2 days are the same and duties will include :
Manage all aspects of one weekly and two monthly payrolls on Sage Payroll software
Enter hours, expenses, mileage claims and maintain payroll pay scales such that all payments are completed accurately and on-time.
Complete relevant HMRC paperwork returns and ensure submitted within
Maintain nominal coding in automated interfaces from Sage Payroll into Sage 200
Participate in any projects to develop the payroll processes and database, taking a lead on identifying improvements and playing a key role in implementing any resultant changes
To keep abreast with the developments in Payroll rules and regulations and to contribute to their implementation within the office
Perform 6 monthly audit of employee expenses
Ensure smooth closing of all weekly payroll ledgers
Monthly reconciliation of all payroll control accounts in line with Management Accounts Reporting Timetable
Ensure all deductions from wages are paid across to relevant bodies on time such as Pension, Court Orders, CSA, Unions, Charities Trust etc.This rolel will suit experienced candidates who like to work autonomously and who has a high attention to detaill. You can expect a competitive salary (up to £30k) 23 days holiday plus on site parking.
