We're recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and detail-focused Payroll Administrator. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team within a large, well-established organisation.
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday
Hybrid Working: Mix of home and office-based work
About the Role:
You'll process weekly and monthly payrolls, making sure staff are paid accurately and on time. You'll also support wider payroll operations and deal with payroll queries.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-end payroll processing, including BACS payments
Handle starters, leavers, salary changes and adjustments
Manage payroll queries from staff, managers, and HR
Process statutory payments (SSP, parental leave, etc.)
Administer pensions and deductions (e.g. court orders)
Run HMRC updates (RTI, tax codes, student loans)
Produce payroll reports for internal use
Ensure compliance with National Minimum Wage
Support regular HR/payroll reviews
What We're Looking For:
2+ years' payroll experience
Strong numeracy and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUPs)
Able to meet tight deadlines in a busy environment
Good team player with initiative and self-motivation
