The Role
A client-focused payroll position within an accountancy practice, managing multiple payrolls across a varied portfolio.
You will be responsible for delivering accurate, end-to-end payroll services while liaising with clients, HMRC, and pension providers.
Key Responsibilities
* Process end-to-end payroll for multiple clients (weekly, monthly, directors, bonuses)
* Manage starters, leavers, and payroll changes
* Submit RTI filings and complete year-end processes
* Administer pensions and auto-enrolment
* Handle BACS payments
* Respond to client and employee payroll queries
* Maintain accurate payroll records and compliance
* Liaise with HMRC and external providers
The Ideal Candidate
* 2+ years’ payroll experience
* Experience managing multiple payrolls
* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance
* Experience with payroll systems (Sage 50 desirable)
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent communication and client-facing ability
* Proactive and able to work both independently and in a team
