As part of continued growth and development within their shared services function, they are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.
This role would suit an experienced Payroll Administrator, Payroll Officer, or Payroll Specialist looking for a position where they can make a genuine impact and contribute to continuous improvement within a busy payroll function.
Your new role
Key Responsibilities:
You will play a key role in delivering an accurate and timely payroll service, processing payroll from start to finish for approximately 900 employees using Dayforce.
Support the accurate and timely processing of monthly and quarterly payrolls, including UK, Guernsey and the Philippines, ensuring payroll activities are completed in line with agreed deadlines and controls.
Processing payroll changes including new starters, leavers, salary amendments, promotions, and deductions
End-to-end monthly payroll processing for approximately 900 employees using Dayforce
Support payroll year-end activity, including P11D preparation and submission, ensuring outputs are accurate and compliant with relevant requirements
Ensuring PAYE, National Insurance, pension contributions, and statutory payments are processed correctly
Reconciling payroll data and resolving discrepancies
Handling payroll queries from employees and managers
Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring GDPR compliance
Supporting month-end and year-end payroll activities
Working collaboratively with HR and Finance teams
Reviewing existing payroll processes and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in payroll administration.
Good working knowledge of payroll processes, statutory deductions, pension administration and payroll-related compliance requirements.
Understanding of UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, Real Time Information submissions and year-end payroll requirements.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to process, check and reconcile payroll data within agreed deadlines.
Confident using payroll systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, to maintain records, analyse data and support reporting.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload, manage routine deadlines and respond effectively to payroll queries.
Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with HR, Finance, employees, managers and external payroll providers
What you'll get in return
Salary of £31,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
Hybrid working with 2 days per week in the Bamber Bridge office
37-hour working week
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
