Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Salary: £30,000
Working Structure: Office based for onboarding (3-6 months), 3/2 hybrid split after
Location: Hertfordshire
JGA are seeking an experienced and technically capable Payroll Administrator to join a growing accountancy team based in Watford.
Responsibilities:
Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly payrolls end-to-end, including starters, leavers, and statutory payments
Arrange BACs payments for salaries, tax liabilities, and third-party payments
Generate and electronically file all payroll reports accurately
Ensure payroll processing complies with statutory and professional regulations
Complete all daily payroll tasks according to the departmental schedule
Handle ad hoc payroll queries and related tasks efficiently Skills They Look For:
At least 2 years of payroll experience
Experience working in an accountancy practice or handling high-volume payrolls within a payroll department
Proficient with payroll systems; experience with Star is advantageous
Intermediate proficiency in Excel
Strong customer service focus
Excellent attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships Interested?
