Part-Time Payroll Advisor
📍 Leicester (Office-based initially)
💰 £35,000 FTE
Hours: 26–30 hours over 4 days
Contract: Permanent
The Role
A part-time payroll position managing a portfolio of client payrolls, ranging from small to more complex cases.
You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant payroll services while managing your own workload and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients
* Process starters, leavers, and payroll changes
* Calculate payroll data, statutory payments, and deductions
* Submit RTI to HMRC and handle payroll compliance
* Administer pensions and auto-enrolment obligations
* Complete year-end processes including P60s
* Handle HMRC correspondence and payroll queries
* Communicate with clients via phone and email
The Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 3 years’ payroll experience
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation
* Experience with pensions and auto-enrolment
* Able to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
* Strong communication and client-facing skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Team player with a proactive approach
