Responsibilities
* Accurately process weekly and monthly payroll within internal deadlines.
* Maintain and update employee payroll and HR records to ensure data accuracy.
* Calculate wages, deductions, overtime, and statutory payments in line with current legislation.
* Ensure full compliance with payroll legislation and internal company policies.
* Respond to employee payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
* Support reporting processes and year-end payroll activities.
* Maintain strict confidentiality and high standards of accuracy in all payroll-related tasks.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a payroll assistant is essential.
* Proficient in Sage Payroll software (required).
* Strong understanding of payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
* High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
* Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
