Payroll Assistant
Permanent and Full-time; potential for Hybrid working
£25-28,000 per annum
Gloucestershire

Step into a role where you can build your payroll skills in a supportive, friendly team of four. You'll help deliver accurate and timely payroll services across a variety of clients and industries, gaining hands‑on experience and growing your confidence.
 What you'll be doing

Supporting payroll processing across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles
Preparing payroll data including timesheets, starters/leavers, and basic adjustments
Responding to payee queries and providing friendly, helpful customer service
Assisting with statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and holiday pay
Learning payroll systems - full training provided on in‑house software
Supporting compliance tasks including RTI submissions and basic HMRC liaison under supervisionWhat you'll bring

Some basic payroll experience (around 6-12 months) 
A basic understanding of payroll processes and statutory payments
Good communication skills and a keen eye for accuracy
A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Confidence using Microsoft Office and general admin systemsWhy you'll love working here
