Payroll Assistant
Cardiff | £25,000 – £26,000 | Office-based, Full Time
We’re working with a leading business in Cardiff who are looking for a Payroll Assistant to join their friendly and supportive payroll team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with some existing payroll experience who’s keen to grow their skills in a busy, fast-paced environment.
The Role:
You’ll support the payroll function across the business, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Duties will include:
Processing starters, leavers, and changes
Uploading weekly/monthly hours
Calculating SSP, SMP, SPP, and SAP
Handling payroll queries from staff and third parties
Managing deductions, tax codes, and benefit forms
Running reports and supporting with compliance
What We’re Looking For:
Some previous experience in a payroll function
Strong attention to detail
Confident using Microsoft Excel
Good communication and organisational skills
