Payroll Assistant – Near Falmouth – Temporary
💰 Pay: £14.45 – £16.10 per hour (including holiday pay)
📍 Location: Near Falmouth – Office based
🕒 Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) – Part-time applications welcomed
📅 Start: ASAP
📄 Contract: 1 month rolling basis

Carrington Wood is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established business based near Falmouth, in their search for a Payroll Assistant to join them on a temporary basis (month-by-month rolling contract). This role will suit someone confident with weekly and monthly payroll who can provide accurate, efficient support from day one.
What You’ll Be Doing:
✔ Processing weekly and monthly payroll accurately and on time
✔ Preparing and posting journal entries
✔ Handling payroll queries promptly and professionally
✔ Supporting with ad hoc payroll tasks as needed
✔ Assisting with other areas of the wider business function if required
What We’re Looking For:
💡 Experience in processing both weekly and monthly payroll
💡 Strong understanding of payroll legislation and reporting requirements
💡 High levels of accuracy and organisation
💡 Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
💡 Availability to start at short notice
