Payroll Clerk (Part-Time)
Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex (office-based)
Salary: Negotiable, DOE
Hours: 3 days/week, 9am–5pm
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, highly organised Payroll Clerk to manage payroll operations. This is a sole role requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process weekly and monthly payroll
* Handle commissions, expenses, bonuses, RTI submissions, and HMRC reporting
* Manage pensions, auto-enrolment, and AOE
* Maintain employee records, right-to-work documentation, and statutory leave (maternity/paternity)
* Complete year-end processes including P11Ds
* Support ad hoc accounts admin tasks
Requirements:
* Previous payroll experience essential
* Strong organisational skills and accuracy
* Confident working independently in a sole payroll position
