Payroll Coordinator

We’re currently recruiting for a detail-focused and organised Payroll Coordinator to join a well-established business based in Altrincham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking to join a supportive team within a friendly and professional working environment.
This position plays a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while supporting both finance and HR functions. You’ll be joining a company that values accuracy, efficiency and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the full end-to-end payroll process using internal payroll systems
* Accurately process employee data including hours, deductions and benefits
* Handle payroll-related payments such as expenses and reimbursements
* Reconcile payroll reports and provide analysis for management
* Maintain and update employee records in line with company policies and UK legislation
* Liaise with HR to ensure employee information is up to date and resolve any payroll queries
* Produce payroll reports to support audits and internal reviews
* Support year-end payroll processes, including tax submissions and statutory reporting
About You
* Proven experience in a payroll position
* Strong working knowledge of payroll and accounting systems
* Confident with data entry, reconciliation and payroll processes
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
* Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Strong communication skills and able to work collaboratively across departments
* Previous experience within HR or payroll administration would be beneficial
