Job Role: Payroll and Credit Control Manager Reports to: Chief Financial Officer Base: Sutton Office, SM1 1JB Hours: 40 hours per week Monday – Friday shift pattern can include 8:00am – 17:00pm/ 8:30am – 17:30pm Salary: £36,750 per annum. Job Overview: Working within the Healthcare Recruitment industry, the payroll manager plays a vital role in maintaining a database of workers. The Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the organization's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. The ideal candidate would have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to build strong working relationships. You should be familiar with standard payroll software and processes as well as possess excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. The role also includes credit control responsibilities, overseeing the timely collection of payments from clients to meet the companies cash collection and debt targets. The ideal candidate will have excellent credit control experience and the ability to assist the credit control team to resolve client queries as they arise. Your Role(s): Current but not limited to the below. - Supervising the work of existing Payroll Administrators. - Advise Payroll Administrators about taxes and employment laws on salary. - Calculating wage increments, public holiday pay and any deductibles including company pension and expenses. - Support the training of new team members. - Analysing and reporting on payroll data with the CFO. - Assisting the Financial controller with the annual audit process. - Managing electronic timekeeping systems and manually collecting and reviewing timesheets. - Developing and refining payroll procedures to maintain an accurate database and ensure no delays to the payroll process. - Investigating expenses and calculating reimbursements in line with company set budgets. - Keep up to date with changes in payroll regulations and adjust payroll systems and processes accordingly. - Assist with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed. - Manage the weekly cash collection targets to ensure the cashflow targets of the business are met. - Allocating new accounts to the credit controller. - Managing the invoicing process and upload to Sage and HSBC - Manage the posting of daily cash receipts - Manage the timely production of Aged debt reports KPI’S: 1. Ensure the accuracy of weekly payments and invoices to clients. 2. Provide exceptional service to our clients by maintaining an efficient payroll process and communicating changes to pay rates or dates promptly. 3. Review and update timesheets and documents required to assist the payroll process on a weekly basis. 4.Support and train the team of Payroll administrators to ensure efficiency of our financial business. What is expected of you? - Comprehensive understanding of tax and payroll laws -Ability to be critical thinking when faced with difficult decisions for your team and for the business. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software programs - Knowledge of Tempest Pay and Bill would be advantageous - Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Good time management and organizational skills - Enthusiastic and hard working - Excellent attention to detail. - Able to work autonomously, and as part of a team. - Team player, putting the interests of MedGen first. - Disciplined in working to deadlines. - Calm and professional when working under pressure.
