Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced team based in South Ayrshire. This is a temporary opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The role will involve supporting the end-to-end payroll function for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Process end-to-end payroll for a high-volume workforce, ensuring all deadlines are met
Accurately calculate and process SSP, SMP, PAYE, and other statutory payments
Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
Handle payroll queries from employees and resolve issues in a timely manner
Support with payroll reporting and reconciliations
Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and internal procedures
Work collaboratively with HR and finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operationKey Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ payroll experience
Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge, including SSP, SMP, PAYE and statutory calculations
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally supporting a workforce of 1,000+ employees
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a busy and diverse team
Confident working under pressure and meeting tight deadlinesAdditional Information:
Fully office-based role in South Ayrshire
Immediate start preferred
