Job Description
Job Title: Payroll Manager – Sole Role
💷 Salary: £28,000 – £32,000
🏢 Working Structure: Office-based, Mon–Thurs 9–5, Fri 9–4 (30 min lunch)
📍 Location: Llanelli, South Wales
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Run end-to-end payroll across multiple clients (c.1,000 payslips)
Manage PAYE, pensions, statutory payments & year-end reporting (P60s, P11Ds etc.)
Handle queries around SMP, holiday pay rollbacks, RTI submissions & pensions
Ensure compliance with HMRC and up-to-date payroll legislation
Support system migration from desktop to cloud payroll software
Build strong client relationships—providing clear advice & payroll expertise
🙌 Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong payroll experience (ideally in a bureau/accountancy firm)
Proactive, detail-driven and confident working independently
Excellent communicator with client-facing experience
Solid knowledge of UK payroll legislation
Familiarity with Moneysoft and Brightpay (advantageous)
Someone who thrives on ownership and responsibility
