A fast-growing, privately-owned facilities management business is looking for a Payroll Manager to join the team in Knutsford. Along with a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, you will also receive 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and hybrid working (2 WFH days per week).
You will work with the Head of Finance to coordinator and consolidate all activity within the group. This is a broad role that will be responsible for taking the function into its next stage of growth
What you’ll be doing as Payroll Manager?
Weekly and monthly submissions for circa 180 people with anticipated payroll growth over the next 12 months
Consolidating payroll’s (currently in house and external) to solely in house
Controlling submissions and outputs ensuring 100% accuracy (or as close as possible) is obtained each time.
Undertaking all HR related payroll duties for starters, leavers and changes and reflecting these in the submissions.
Undertaking all contractual requirements for starters/leavers and changes.
Reviewing current organisational structure and working with the senior team to provide contractual arrangements as necessary.
Working with the senior team on policies and procedures that relate to payroll.
Being the key point of contact for this area on budgeting and forecasting processes, offering support as needed.
Supporting the Head of Finance in providing financial analysis to review business decisions and challenge managers on costs, assumptions, and process to ensure the business is operating in a professional and commercial manner.
Establishing and developing close working relationships with the Contract Managers and key stakeholders.
Providing guidance tax treatment as required (using external advisors as necessary)
We’re looking for a Payroll Manager with:
Full end-to-end payroll experience
Experience of working as part of a close-knit team
Strong familiarity with MS Excel, including familiarity with pivot tables, lookups, etc.
Experience with payroll systems and identifying and implementing improvements is desirable
Experience and knowledge of Employment legislation – contracts, employment law etc
Ability to travel to other sites within the UK when needed.
