Are you an experienced Payroll Manager ready to take on a leadership role within a global Fortune 500 manufacturing company? This is a unique opportunity to oversee payroll operations for a large employee population, lead a team through transformation, and ensure full compliance with German tax and employment legislation.
The Role: As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for payroll operations covering more than 1,600 employees, driving accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Leading a payroll team, you will set high standards, build accountability, and foster professional development. This role offers strong exposure to international stakeholders and the chance to shape a function that is critical to business success.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, and motivate the payroll team, with a focus on turning around performance.
Oversee timely and accurate payroll for 1,600+ employees.
Ensure full compliance with German tax law, social security, and statutory reporting requirements.
Partner with HR and Finance to streamline processes and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead payroll-related projects, including system enhancements and implementations.
Act as subject matter expert for German payroll compliance and legislation.
About You
At least 5 years' payroll management experience, with proven leadership and team transformation skills.
Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
Strong knowledge of German payroll, tax, and social security legislation.
Experience managing large-scale payrolls.
Skilled in SAP and ADP payroll systems.
IHK qualification or similar certification is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
