Are you looking for a new, varied & flexible Payroll opportunity, either on a full-time or part-time basis?

NXTGEN is delighted to be working with a highly regarded and well-established Accountancy Practice as they look to recruit an experienced Payroll Senior into their Ipswich office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, collaborative & friendly Payroll team, managing your own portfolio of clients whilst playing a key role in mentoring junior team members and supporting the continued development of the department, as well as supporting your Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  * Manage the end-to-end payroll process for a portfolio of clients, ensuring payrolls are completed accurately, compliantly and on time.

  * Act as the main point of contact for payroll queries, building strong relationships with clients, HMRC and third-party providers.

  * Support and review the work of junior Payroll team members, providing guidance, mentoring and day-to-day assistance.

  * Assist the Payroll Manager with resolving complex payroll, legislation and system queries.

  * Ensure compliance with auto-enrolment requirements and current payroll legislation.

  * Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and contribute towards continuous improvements across the Payroll team.

  * Deliver training and share knowledge with colleagues to support their ongoing development.

The successful candidate will have:

  * Previous experience processing end-to-end payroll within an Accountancy Practice or Payroll Bureau environment.

  * Experience managing multiple payrolls and a portfolio of clients.

  * A good understanding of payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.

  * Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.

  * A proactive and collaborative approach, with a passion for delivering an outstanding payroll service.
