Overview
Barrwall Recruitment Group is working with a well-established main contractor renowned for delivering complex refurbishment and structural alteration schemes. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead major Cut & Carve projects valued between £10m–£30m across Central London.
Key Responsibilities
*
Lead the full project lifecycle of major refurbishment and structural alteration schemes, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards.
*
Manage on-site operations, including logistics, sequencing, temporary works considerations, and construction methodology for complex structural modifications.
*
Coordinate with design, commercial, and site teams to maintain fluid project communication and early issue resolution.
*
Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project milestones.
*
Drive progress meetings, reporting, and strategic planning to maintain project momentum.
*
Manage client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring expectations are understood and exceeded.
*
Identify and mitigate project risks, design challenges, and buildability constraints common in Cut & Carve environments.
*
Maintain rigorous health & safety leadership across the site, promoting a culture of best practice and accountability.
Requirements
*
Strong track record as a Senior Project Manager delivering major refurbishment or Cut & Carve projects within a main contractor.
*
Proven experience managing schemes between £10m–£30m in live, constrained, or urban environments—ideally in Central London.
*
Excellent technical understanding of structural alterations, temporary works, sequencing, and complex construction logistics.
*
Confident leadership style with the ability to manage large multidisciplinary teams.
*
Exceptional communication, commercial awareness, and stakeholder management skills.
*
A solutions-led approach with the ability to thrive in fast-paced and challenging settings.
