PCB Design Engineer - Northamptonshire
We're recruiting for a PCB Design Engineer to join a world-leading engineering team that designs high-speed, mission-critical PCBs used in advanced military, aerospace, and rugged industrial systems. You'll be working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment delivering cutting-edge solutions for land, sea, and air platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design high-speed PCBs for complex electronic assemblies
Conduct signal and power integrity analysis
Participate in design reviews and support cross-functional teams
Ensure compliance with design, quality, and manufacturing standards
Generate design documentation, drawings, and reports
Collaborate closely with hardware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams
Engage in continuous improvement across tools, processes, and practices
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with analog and digital PCB layout
Deep knowledge of ECAD tools - especially Siemens EDA Xpedition (Layout, Designer, CES, EDM, etc.)
Familiarity with HDI, sequential, and multi-layer PCB technologies
Skilled in high-speed interfaces: DDR4/5, GDDR6, PCIe Gen3/4, Gigabit Ethernet
Proficient in DFT/DFM best practices and the full PCB development lifecycle
Ability to work across global teams with strong communication skills
Ideal Candidate
Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Proven track record of delivering complex, high-reliability PCB designs
Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn from feedback
