Location: Hybrid (blend of home and Dorset Police sites)
Hours: 37 per week (Monday – Friday, 9:00–17:00)
Contract End Date: 31st March 2026
Pay Rate: £17.24 per hour PAYE (Umbrella)
About the Role We are seeking a motivated and professional PCSO Assessor to support learners undertaking the Level 4 Diploma in Community Policing Practice. You will play a vital role in guiding, assessing, and supporting PCSO students as they develop the skills needed to serve their communities.
Key Responsibilities
Assess learner competence in the workplace against qualification standards.
Provide feedback, coaching, and support to help learners achieve their qualification.
Plan and deliver fair, reliable, and consistent assessments.
Keep accurate records and provide reports to Internal Quality Assurers.
Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all assessment activities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high assessment standards.
About You Essential:
Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1, or equivalent).
Experience in assessing workplace competence.
Strong communication, coaching, and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Commitment to equality, diversity, and fair assessment.
Desirable:
Experience with policing or PCSO qualifications.
Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) experience.
Knowledge of the Level 4 Diploma in Community Policing Practice.
