PE and Outdoor Education Instructor / Teacher of PE
Start Date: Autumn Term 2025

Salary (Instructor): £31,586 - £34,314 FTE (Pay award pending)
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only + 5 INSET days
Salary: In line with the National Teachers' Pay Scales

What We're Looking For:
A relevant degree or teaching qualification (QTS is required for the Teacher of PE route)
Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an SEN, PRU, or inclusive setting
A solid understanding of inclusive PE practice, behaviour management, and trauma-informed support
A flexible, proactive approach with a genuine passion for physical activity and holistic development
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Ability to commute to BedfordAbout the Role:
As our PE and Outdoor Education Instructor / Teacher of PE, you will:
Deliver accessible and inclusive PE lessons and outdoor learning experiences to pupils aged 7-16
Support pupils in achieving progress relative to their individual starting points, both physically and socially
Plan safe, creative sessions that promote teamwork, self-confidence, physical literacy, and wellbeing
Work collaboratively with classroom staff and therapists to integrate physical learning with wider personal development goals
Monitor and track pupils' progress, adapting activities to suit diverse needs and abilities
This PE and Outdoor Education Instructor role is subject to enhanced DBS clearance, right to work checks, social media screening, and satisfactory references. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment
