Job Description
PE Teacher - Maternity Cover - Rotherham
Start Date: January 2026 (or sooner if available)
Contract: Fixed-term until July 2026 (with potential extension into the new academic year)
Days: 4 days per week
We are seeking a passionate and experienced PE Teacher to join a moderately sized secondary school in Rotherham, covering maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver practical PE lessons to KS3 students and core PE to KS4 (non-GCSE practical classes).
The successful candidate will:
Deliver high-quality, engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
Inspire and motivate students to achieve their potential in physical education
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the PE curriculum
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
PE specialist or significant experience teaching PE
Strong classroom management and communication skills
