Overview
A secondary school in Southampton is looking for a PE Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a full-time, long-term position, ideal for someone who thrives on motivating young people and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle both inside and outside the classroom. The successful candidate will teach PE across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to reach their personal best in sport and physical fitness. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that motivate and challenge students.
Teach PE across KS3 and KS4, covering a broad range of sports and activities.
Encourage participation, teamwork, and personal development in every lesson.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Contribute to the organisation of school sports events, clubs, and extracurricular activities.
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – desirable.
Degree in Physical Education or a related field.
Experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Enthusiastic, approachable, and able to inspire a love of physical activity.
Current enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) or willingness to apply for one.
Competitive pay: £140 – £250 per day (depending on experience).
Full-time, long-term position from January to July 2026.
