Salary: £168.80 per day - £261.78 per day
About the Role:
Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working alongside a forward-thinking secondary alternative provision in Burnley to recruit a passionate and committed PE Teacher for a maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive environment that focuses on tailored education for students who benefit from an alternative approach to learning.
Starting on 1st September and running until July 2026, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and inclusive physical education lessons that inspire students and promote their physical and emotional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons tailored to the needs of students within alternative provision.
Engage and motivate young people to develop their physical skills, teamwork, and confidence.
Assess and monitor student progress, adapting lessons to suit diverse abilities.
Support positive behaviour and wellbeing in line with the school's ethos.
Collaborate with staff and external partners to enhance student learning and support.Candidate Requirements:
Qualified PE Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience in secondary education.
Experience or willingness to work within an alternative provision or with students who have diverse learning needs is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
