Job Description
The People Advisor will play a key role in supporting the Human Resources department within the transport and distribution industry. This fixed-term contract role focuses on providing expert HR advice and guidance to ensure smooth operations in Oldham.

Description
Provide expert advice and support to managers on HR policies and procedures.
Handle employee relations cases, including investigations, grievances, and disciplinaries.
Support the recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions and coordinating interviews.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with GDPR regulations.
Deliver training sessions on HR-related topics to line managers and teams.
Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data.
Monitor and report on key HR metrics to support decision-making.Profile
A successful People Advisor should have:
Previous experience in a Human Resources advisory role, ideally within the transport and distribution industry.
A strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficiency in using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
A CIPD qualification or equivalent (desirable but not essential).Job Offer
