People Business Partner - Performance, Wellbeing & Development Salary: £35,514 per annum Hours: Full Time, Permanent Pension: Local Government Pension Scheme We're expanding our People & Performance team and are recruiting two new People Business Partners, each with their own area of specialist expertise. This role will focus on Performance, Wellbeing & Development, working alongside a second People Business Partner to provide a proactive, high-quality People service across the College. About the role As a trusted People Business Partner, you'll work closely with managers across curriculum and professional services, providing expert advice, coaching and constructive challenge on a wide range of people matters. You'll support managers to effectively manage employee relations, performance, attendance and organisational issues, ensuring decisions are fair, consistent and aligned with employment legislation and College policies. You'll use workforce insight and data to identify trends, recommend improvements and support the delivery of People & Performance priorities. Alongside your business partnering responsibilities you'll act as the College's subject matter expert for Performance, Wellbeing & Development, providing specialist advice, guidance and support across these areas. You'll contribute to the effective delivery of the College's approach to attendance, capability, learning and development, talent management and manager development. You'll work closely with managers to build confidence and capability, improve employee experience and support a positive workplace culture. This is a varied role where you will have the opportunity to influence practice, support continuous improvement and make a meaningful difference to colleagues across the College. About you You'll be an experienced HR professional with a CIPD Level 5 qualification (or above), strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience of advising and coaching managers on a range of people matters. You'll be confident building trusted relationships, providing pragmatic advice and constructively challenging managers where needed. You'll have the ability to use data and insight to inform decisions, identify opportunities and support effective people solutions. Experience of performance management, attendance, wellbeing, learning and development or talent management would be advantageous.
