Job Description

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for a permanent Qualified Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team within Achieving for Children. This role includes a £3000 annual market supplement and offers a competitive salary range from £42,771 to £45,750. The Children with Disabilities Team is a dynamic and responsive service working with disabled children and their families. The team is responsible for all aspects of children's social work, from assessment and analysis through to long-term planning. There is a strong emphasis on multi-agency working, with close links to early intervention and specialist support services. The post is co-located with professionals involved in the lives of disabled children, supporting collaborative and holistic practice. Duties and Responsibilities: * Assessing the needs of children with disabilities and their families. * Developing individualised plans and chairing meetings to ensure progress in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals. * Using a range of interventions to engage children, young people, and families, ensuring the child's voice is central to all planning. * Working with children from initial referral through to transition to adult services where required. * Leading and contributing to service development projects as directed by the Head of Service. * Supporting students on placement and newly qualified staff, with opportunities to undertake the Practice Educator course or other relevant training. * Acting as a link worker for one of the local specialist schools. Essential Requirements: * Social Work qualification - Degree or equivalent. * Social Work England registration. * Experience supporting children with disabilities, safeguarding, or statutory children's social care. * Strong understanding of legislation, disability frameworks, and multi-agency practice. * Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
