Job Description
Eden Brown Synergy is currently working with Cambridgeshire County Council, who are seeking to recruit six experienced Social Workers to join their Children's Assessment Teams on a permanent basis.
Positions are available in Huntingdon (PE29 3AD), Ely (CB7 4EX), Cambridge City (CB2 9NL), and South Cambridgeshire (CB2 9NL).

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Managing a varied caseload of children in need, child protection, and initial assessments.
* Undertaking timely and comprehensive assessments to identify needs, risks, and required interventions.
* Working closely with children, families, and multi-agency professionals to deliver effective support plans.
* Preparing and presenting reports for Child Protection Conferences, Looked After Reviews, and Court proceedings.
* Ensuring that all work complies with statutory requirements, policies, and best practice frameworks.
* Contributing to continuous service improvement and supporting colleagues through professional development.
Role Details:
* Locations: Huntingdon (PE29 3AD), Ely (CB7 4EX), Cambridge City (CB2 9NL), and South Cambridgeshire (CB2 9NL)
* Working Pattern: Hybrid - mix of office, home working, and visits
* Flexible working options: Compressed hours (5 days in 4) or 9-day fortnight available from day one (subject to service needs)
* Relocation package available
* Sponsorship swap available
Salary:
* £40,735 - £43,516 per annum
Retention Payment:
* 2.5% of starting salary (£1,018) after 1 year (365 days service)
* 7.5% of starting salary (£3,055) after 2 years (730 days service)
* 10% of starting salary (£4,074) after 3 years (1095 days service)
* Total retention payment over 3 years: £8,147
* Annual flat rate payment of £1,500 after 3 years
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* Social Work England Registration
* Substantial post-qualifying experience in safeguarding, assessment, or child protection
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and local procedures
* Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills
