Job Summary
Backline are currently recruiting for a permanent HGV 1/HGV 2 on a full time basis for our popular Guarantee scheme.
We are currently looking to add to the existing driver pool we already have with flexible and varied skilled drivers to represent us to a variety of our clients. If you enjoy a job where each day isn’t the same, this is the job for you!
Part time applicants are also welcomed (pro rota benefits)
Benefits:
* Guaranteed weekly amount of a minimum of £600.00 - £720.00, more depending on Class 1 or Class 2 licence but especially on experience. Can earn £23.00 per hour plus depending on contract.

About You:
* Own Transport essential
* You will have held your Class 1 or Class 2 for a minimum of 2 years
* Been driving a Class 1 or Class 2 vehicle for 180 days in the last 2 years
* HIAB ticket and experience preferred
* Maximum 6 points for minor offences
* Looking for flexibility and variation
* Looking for appreciation and a good team ethic
* A good knowledge and experience of driving all types of trucks
* Eager to learn new skills
* An appreciation of good customer service
General responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* A mixture of Class 1 or Class 2 (depending on licence), Hiab, Dust Cart, Skip, Ro-Ro, Plant Machinery, Pallets, ADR work and Caged deliveries and collections. May be driving a van on occasion.
* Completing all relevant paperwork for deliveries and/or collections as required
* Ensuring daily vehicle checks and defect reports are completed
* Liaising with your line manager to communicate any issues relevant to the work you have been allocated
* Adhering to all relevant road traffic and working time regulations
* Maintaining accurate driving hours, working time and rest period/break records using the appropriate method (digi/analogue tachograph)

Typically, your shift pattern will be Monday to Friday, with variable start times (within reason), in line with the needs of the business.
