Personal Care Assistant Required!

Do you have experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school environment?

Are you comfortable providing personal care when required?

Would you like to join a supportive school on a full-time, five-day-per-week basis?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive mainstream school in Derby that is committed to inclusion and providing pupils with a safe, positive learning environment. The school has a welcoming staff team and places a strong focus on pupil wellbeing, independence and development.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant for five days per week on a long-term basis, with the opportunity to become permanent. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will provide classroom and individual support, assist pupils with their learning and deliver personal care sensitively and respectfully when required.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience or confidence providing personal care
• The ability to work effectively on a one-to-one and small-group basis
• A patient, caring and resilient approach
• Availability to work five days per week
