Personal Development & Citizenship Teacher – Sheffield

Salary: £170–£220 per day (dependent on experience)
PK Education are working with a secondary school in Sheffield who are seeking a Personal Development & Citizenship Teacher to join their team as soon as possible until the end of the academic year.
This is a highly relevant and impactful role within the school, focusing on delivering a curriculum that supports students beyond academic subjects. You will be teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, covering areas such as PSHE, Citizenship, Relationships & Sex Education (RSE), and wider personal development.
The Role
You will deliver structured lessons focused on key life topics including mental health, relationships, online safety, diversity, and preparation for life beyond school. Lessons are discussion-based, requiring you to confidently manage conversations, encourage participation, and create a safe environment for students to express their views.
You will play an important role in supporting students’ personal growth, helping them develop confidence, awareness, and respect for others.
What We’re Looking For
Experience teaching or supporting PSHE, Citizenship, RE, or similar subjects
Strong communication skills and confidence leading discussion-based lessons
Ability to manage sensitive topics in a professional and balanced way
A calm, adaptable, and empathetic approach
Strong behaviour management and the ability to build rapport quickly
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
