Passive Fire Surveyor – Fire Doors & Compartmentation (Contract)
Location: Portsmouth
Rate: £230 – £250 per day
Duration: 4 Weeks

Opportunity

This is a great short-term opportunity for an experienced Passive Fire Surveyor to support an ongoing programme of works in Portsmouth. The role is focused on delivering surveys across social housing properties, with a strong pipeline of work for the duration of the contract.

You will be joining an established team and working across occupied residential sites, carrying out detailed surveys and reporting on compliance.

The Role

We are seeking a Passive Fire Surveyor with experience in both fire doors and compartmentation surveys. You will be responsible for identifying defects, recording findings, and ensuring all surveys are completed accurately and in line with current regulations.

This role will involve working across live social housing environments, requiring a professional and tenant-friendly approach.

Key Responsibilities

  * Conduct surveys of fire doors, including full compliance checks and measurements

  * Inspect fire stopping / compartmentation and identify any breaches

  * Identify defects and non-compliance in line with regulations and manufacturer guidance

  * Accurately record findings and produce clear reports

  * Work closely with site teams and ensure surveys are completed efficiently

  * Maintain a professional approach when working in occupied properties

Requirements

  * Proven experience carrying out passive fire surveys

  * Strong knowledge of fire door compliance and compartmentation

  * Experience working within social housing environments

  * Ability to work independently and manage workload

  * Good communication and reporting skills

  * Full UK Driving Licence
