Job Description

Service care Solutions are working alongside a national leading health and social care provider who are looking to recruit an experienced Recovery Worker to join their team on a temporary contract. Please find a description of the role below.   Role:  Substance Misuse Rate: £19.50 to £22.36 pr hour (PAYE exc.) £21.72 to £25.30 per hour (Umbrella/Ltd) Location: Rochdale/Oldham Working: On-site, 37 hour per week Contract: 3 months on going   Role Overview: Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments, identifying personal strengths and risk factors. Develop, monitor, and review risk assessments and risk management plans to safeguard service users and their support networks. Create strengths-based, person-centred recovery plans in collaboration with service users and relevant professionals. Maintain accurate and timely case notes, and prepare narrative reports as required. Deliver group intervention sessions effectively and appropriately. Accurately collect, record, and report client data related to the treatment journey. Contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the role. Work in partnership with statutory and non-statutory agencies to address complex needs of service users. Provide and support harm reduction interventions, including needle exchange, BBV testing, and physical health screening. Ensure all documentation complies with Turning Point’s policies, procedures, and information governance standards. Strong understanding of substance use and associated interventions. Proven experience in caseload management within substance misuse or related services. Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and manage associated risks. Skilled in engagement and intervention strategies, including motivational approaches. Knowledge of and commitment to harm reduction, suicide prevention, and self-harm awareness. Highly organised, with strong IT literacy and administrative skills. Capable of managing time, prioritising tasks, and maintaining accountability in autonomous work. Experience in multi-agency collaboration to support complex client needs.
