Job Description
Locum Band 8a/8b Pharmacist – Cancer Services
* Tripod Partners are recruiting a highly skilled Locum Band 8a/8b Pharmacist to support cancer services within a busy NHS hospital.
* This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinical pharmacist with expertise in oncology, haematology, and aseptic services to step into a senior role and make an immediate impact.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
* Lead and deliver clinical pharmacy services to oncology and haematology inpatients and the chemotherapy day unit.
* Act as the accountable pharmacist for the aseptic production unit, including screening chemotherapy prescriptions and authorising final release of products.
* Provide clinical advice and specialist input to cancer services, including symptom management and supportive care.
* Represent pharmacy services at multidisciplinary and governance meetings.
* Support electronic prescribing of chemotherapy and contribute to service development.
Requirements
* GPhC-registered pharmacist
* Extensive NHS hospital pharmacy experience
* Advanced knowledge of cancer services and aseptic production
* Experience providing clinical pharmacy services to oncology/haematology patients
* Strong leadership and service management skills
Assignment Details
* Locum contract – Band 8a or 8b (depending on experience)
* Full-time, Monday to Friday
