As a Philanthropy Manager (Major Gifts) in the higher education sector, based in Egham, you'll focus on building and nurturing relationships to secure major donations. Your work will directly support the organisation's goals by driving impactful fundraising initiatives.

Description

Develop and implement strategies to secure major gifts from donors.
Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing major donors.
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to secure funding.
Collaborate with internal teams to align fundraising activities with organisational goals.
Track and report on the progress of major gift fundraising campaigns.
Ensure donor recognition and stewardship activities are carried out effectively.
Conduct research to identify new major gift prospects.
Stay updated on fundraising trends and best practices in the not-for-profit/higher education/education sector.Profile

A successful Philanthropy Manager should have:

Proven experience in securing major gifts or fundraising in the not-for-profit or education sector.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
Ability to create persuasive proposals and presentations.
Knowledge of donor stewardship practices and fundraising strategies.
Excellent organisational and project management skills.
