Job Title: Phonics & Literacy Tutor
Location: Thamesmead, London
Pay Rate: £25-£35 per hour
Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | Flexible Hour
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one-to-one or small group tuition in phonics, reading and literacy.
Support early reading development using phonics- based approaches.
Identify learning gaps and provide targeted support to build confidence and fluency.
Adapt sessions for learners with additional needs, including SEN or speech and language difficulties.
Monitor and track progress, provide regular updates to parents/ carers and the wider educational team.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring phonics/ literacy.
Strong understanding of phonics frameworks and literacy teaching strategies.
Right to work in the UK.
Must have or be willing to undertake Enhanced DBS check.Desired:
QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience working with children with SEN
