Do you have a patient and engaging approach to supporting children with their learning?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a lovely primary school in Dewsbury, which provides a welcoming environment for both pupils and staff. The school has a friendly and supportive team who are committed to helping children develop and achieve their potential.

The school is looking to take on a Phonics Specialist Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis from September, with the potential to become permanent for the right Phonics Specialist Teaching Assistant. The successful applicant will work across Key Stage 1 / KS1, providing targeted phonics support and helping pupils develop their reading, decoding and communication skills.

The successful Phonics Specialist Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience supporting phonics within a primary school setting
Experience working with children across Key Stage 1 / KS1
A strong understanding of phonics and early reading
The ability to provide engaging individual and small group support
A patient and positive approach to supporting children's learning
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
