PHP Developer
Location: Leeds 2x/week
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary: £44,000
We're looking for a skilled PHP Developer to play a key role in building and maintaining robust, scalable web applications. If you're passionate about clean code, problem-solving, and delivering great user experiences, this could be the perfect role for you.
What you'll be doing
Developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality PHP applications.
Working across the full software development lifecycle - from concept and design to deployment.
Collaborating with front-end developers, designers, and other team members to create seamless solutions.
Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimising application performance.
Staying up to date with emerging technologies and best practices.
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a PHP Developer (Laravel, Symfony or similar frameworks desirable).
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Solid experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Bonus points for
Experience working with APIs and microservices.
Knowledge of DevOps tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
