Job Title: Physical Chemist- Global Agrochemical Company
Contract: 12 months (likely to be extended)
Location: Bracknell
Salary: £20.47 per hour
SRG are working with a global Agrochemical company that are seeking a Physical Chemist to join their busy team. They are looking for a chemistry related graduate with some industrial experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyse samples using chromatographic techniques such as GC and HPLC.
Measuring, understanding and modelling the physical properties that we use to help design and develop the next generation of agrochemicals.
Using a range of different techniques you will demonstrate the flexibility, organisational ability and motivation to deliver high-quality experimental data to tight deadlines.
You will also work with scientists from a range of disciplines to understand the challenges that we face, and to design and develop the new methods that ensure that physical chemistry meets the demands of a growing company.
Essential Requirements:
A PhD or good undergraduate degree in chemistry or a related discipline
A practical understanding of commonly-used analytical and chromatographic techniques and technologies
Understanding of how the physical properties of compounds influence their behaviour in biological systems
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to critically analyse experimental data
Ability to design and deliver new assays, methods and/or approaches to overcome difficult scientific problems
Evidence of working closely with fellow scientists in multi-disciplinary project teams
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to deliver high quality experimental results while working to tight deadlines
