Tradewind are recruiting! Are you looking for your next role teaching PHYSICAL EDUCATION in a school located in Islington?
We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, an Ofsted 'Outstanding' secondary school based in the heart of Islington, for a Teacher of Physical Education to cover a maternity leave from June 2025. This is a full-time position expected to last one academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing and inclusive all-boys secondary school with a strong reputation for academic and personal development. You will be joining a dynamic and well-supported PE department delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Role Requirements:
Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons aligned with the national curriculum
Inspire and motivate pupils to develop their physical skills, health and wellbeing
Monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and intervention
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including sports fixtures and extracurricular clubsPerson Specification:
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) with QTS
Specialism in Physical Education
Experience teaching PE at Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential)
Strong classroom management skills and a passion for promoting healthy lifestyles
Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-player mentalityAbout the School:
