The Role:
We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Physics Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4. This temporary position – with the potential to become permanent – will require you to plan and deliver engaging lessons, support pupils' academic progress, and foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physics lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
Assess student progress, set clear targets, and provide feedback to aid development.
Create an inclusive, safe, and inspiring classroom environment.
Collaborate with science department staff and participate in departmental meetings.
Maintain communication with parents, carers, and colleagues to support student success.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Experience: At least 1–2 years of teaching Physics in a secondary school, with solid knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
Qualifications: A relevant degree in Physics or a closely related subject, and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Training: Strong behaviour management and lesson differentiation skills. Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Skills: Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to motivate students of all abilities.
DBS Check:
All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to working if not already in possession of one registered to the update service. The cost of a DBS may be passed to the applicant.

To be considered for the higher end of the salary scale, candidates should demonstrate:
Proven success teaching Physics at GCSE level.
