Job Description

A leading secondary school in Bracknell is seeking a well-qualified and passionate Physics Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time, permanent post open to both experienced Science teachers and Early Career Teachers. About the Science Department The Science department is thriving, collaborative, and equipped with excellent laboratory resources. Physics is taught by subject specialists and is a popular subject at both GCSE and A-Level, with many students progressing to STEM degrees. Teachers are supported by dedicated technicians and subject leads. About the Role As a Physics Teacher, you will be responsible for: • Teaching Physics across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach A-Level Physics. • Planning engaging lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. • Designing and conducting practical investigations that enhance learning and understanding. • Monitoring student progress and using data to inform teaching. • Contributing to departmental planning, resource development, and assessment frameworks. • Supporting science enrichment, including STEM clubs, trips, and competitions. Experience and Qualifications • A degree in Physics or a related subject. • QTS or PGCE in Secondary Science. • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching. • A commitment to maintaining high standards and nurturing scientific curiosity.
