Job Title: Physics Teacher
Location: Colchester, Essex
Contract Type: Full Time / Temporary – Until End of Autumn Term
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Physics Teacher to join a secondary school in Colchester on a temporary basis until the end of the Autumn Term. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher passionate about science who is comfortable teaching up to KS5 to inspire students and make a real impact in a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons across KS3–KS4 (and KS5 if required).
*
Monitor, assess, and support pupil progress effectively.
*
Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
*
Uphold high standards of behaviour and learning.
*
Work collaboratively within the science department.
Requirements:
*
Qualified Teacher or equivalent experience.
*
Specialism in Physics (or strong science background with confidence in teaching Physics).
*
Excellent subject knowledge and ability to engage learners of all abilities.
*
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
The applicant:
* Degree or strong background in core subjects such a math, English and science
* Classroom experience or training is an advantage but not essential
* Be able to communicate effectively with pupils and other staff members
* Will be able to create an exciting and safe learning environment
* Will adhere to professional education guidelines
* Be committed to the school’s objectives and their ethos by following school policies such as behaviour
* Must be reliable and responsible with good time management skills
